How it Works

Getting started with bAAC Talk! Speech Therapy is simple and family-focused. Here’s what you can expect:

Contact Us

Reach out to us via phone, email, or our website contact form to share more about your child’s needs and goals. Whether you have questions about our services or are ready to begin, we’re here to guide you through the process. We’ll help determine if your child would benefit from an initial evaluation or if we can move forward with therapy based on recent records.

i

Prepare for Therapy

Send us any relevant documents, such as a recent speech and language evaluation completed within the past six months, along with medical or developmental history. This helps us tailor a plan for your child. If an evaluation is needed, we’ll schedule one ($300) to assess their current skills and develop specific goals. Completing our intake form is the final step to ensuring we have all the information needed to personalize your child’s care.

w

Begin Sessions

Once all preparations are complete, therapy sessions can begin! Katie sees clients on Wednesdays and Thursdays, while Aurora is available Monday through Thursday afternoons. Our sessions are play-based, hands-on, and designed to foster meaningful progress. Caregivers are encouraged to participate, empowering them to continue supporting their child’s development between sessions.

We think outside the box.

We care about creating genuine connections between people and meeting clients and families where they are without judgement. We strive to ask curious questions, follow evidence in the field, and to think outside of the box for therapy to be as effective as possible.

With experience in multiple different settings and these core values at our center, our founder, Katie, decided to open her own private practice.

From the very beginning, Katie communicated clearly and provided unwavering support. She patiently explained every step, making sure I felt confident and informed. Thanks to her guidance, my son has shown progress and improvements in his communication abilities over the past year, and I am beyond grateful for the positive impact she has had on our lives.
